Allen & Heath has <\/span>announced the launch of <\/span>the IP4, a <\/span>four<\/span>–<\/span>button <\/span>wallplate<\/span> controller designed to simplify <\/span>control <\/span>of <\/span>AHM, Avantis, and dLive systems in installed<\/span> audio<\/span> environments<\/span>, in conjunction with a <\/span>major <\/span>update to Custom Control, the <\/span>customisable<\/span>, cross-platform app for these same systems.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We created the IP4 to offer integrators versatility while giving end-users intuitive<\/span>, tactile<\/span>control,” <\/span>explains <\/span>Nicola Beretta, Director of Product at Allen & Heath. “<\/span>Its<\/span> streamlined design allows non-technical users to manage essential audio functions confidently across retail, hospitality, education, and leisure spaces.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The PoE-powered IP4 controller features four programmable buttons<\/span> – <\/span>each configurable for mute toggling, preset recall, level adjustment, and source <\/span>selection<\/span> – w<\/span>ith illuminated buttons ensuring clear visibility<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Configuration is managed <\/span>via <\/span>AHM System Manager, Avantis Director, or dLive Director software, allowing integrators to tailor functionality for specific installation environments. The IP4 <\/span>connects<\/span> via standard TCP\/IP, enabling seamless integration with compatible Allen & Heath hardware and third-party devices.<\/span> Available in EU\/UK and US variants, the IP4 fits Euro 50x<\/span>50mm<\/span> faceplates or US Decora-style backboxes to meet regional requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n

The IP4 adds to a range of networkable, PoE-powered remote controllers and GPIO interfaces including the 8-fader IP8, IP1 rotary <\/span>wallplate<\/span>, and 7\u201d\/10\u201d touch panels for Custom Control.<\/span><\/p>\n

Allen & Heath\u2019s Custom Control <\/span>is <\/span>also receiv<\/span>ing<\/span> an <\/span>imminent <\/span>update to V1.5, introducing <\/span>a number of<\/span> hotly requested features and improvements<\/span> for commercial integrators, system engineers, and <\/span>HoW<\/span> technicians and integrators<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Headlining the <\/span>upcoming release <\/span>is PEQ Control for AHM, allowing operators to <\/span>adjust<\/span> any <\/span>parametric EQ <\/span>in AHM with a beautiful interactive graphic, or <\/span>via <\/span>a simple rotary control<\/span>.<\/span>Further <\/span>bolster<\/span>ing<\/span> Custom Control\u2019s <\/span>aesthetic improvements<\/span> in V1.5 is the ability to add custom fonts<\/span>, <\/span>ensur<\/span>ing<\/span> designs stay on-brand and best match their use case<\/span>, plus a screensaver <\/span>option<\/span>.<\/span>P<\/span>reamp control has also been added, enabling quick control of preamps to compensate for source level changes<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n
